NVAR is the largest trade association in Nevada, representing more than 20,000 Nevada REALTORS® belonging to five local associations. Members are active real estate licensees from all areas of real estate, including residential, commercial, property management, land, appraisal, and relocation.

1. Aggressively promote education for agents on how to run a small business, the development of a business plan, development of effective client / agent relationships, and improving communication skills at all levels

2. Develop a clearing house of appropriate education for agents

5. Explore programs that promote keeping agent licensees in the industry

6. Provide benefits to agents, i.e. health insurance, retirement (include in packet)

8. Research the reasons brokers want a broker owned / controlled MLS

1. Develop and initiate a public relations campaign at the state level to educate the consumer on the value of a REALTOR®

2. Educate consumers on REALTOR® involvement in the community, i.e., quality of life campaign

Government respects and solicits NVAR as a strategic partner in real estate related issues

1. Position NVAR as a political powerhouse in order to achieve the political and legislative agenda

2. Ensure individual licensees can conduct business in all jurisdictions without additional licensing fees

3. Increase statutory pre-licensing and continuing education requirements for licensees

4. Advocate for advanced licensing of specialty real estate services

5. Advocate online signature recognition as an alternative form of contracts

6. Develop more effective mechanisms to allow members to communicate with government and governmental officials

7. Identify members into political districts and increase voter registration among members

8. Combat adverse legislation that promotes point of sale policing

9. Promote action to release BLM Lands for Sale

10. Combat anti-growth issues and promote private real property rights

11. Partner with the Real Estate Division to establish minimum standards of business services

12. Create comprehensive legislative policy statements

13. Partner with other entities to address workforce housing

NVAR continues to preserve and protect the right to enjoy real property
