Products and Services

Representation As a member of GGAR, you will become a member of the South Carolina Association of REALTORSŪ (SCAR) and the National Association of REALTORSŪ (NAR).  There are now more than 1.2 million members of the National Association of REALTORSŪ.

Administrative Support A full-time professional staff is available for the Association and the MLS.  A conference room and a training room are available for member use.

Education and Training Regularly scheduled continuing education classes for license renewal are available on-site as well as online with discounted prices for GGAR members Designation courses, additional training classes and seminars are also offered.  Association New Member Orientation and MLS New Member Orientations are held regularly.  Online registration is available.

Information and Communications GGAR News is published bi-monthly and is available online.  Frequent broadcast emails are also sent to keep members informed of pertinent information.  Flyers, registration forms, and other information are available in the GGAR office or online at www.ggar.com.

REALTORŪ Store Conveniently located in the association office, GGAR members can purchase books and other real estate related items and promotional materials at discounted prices.

Discount movie tickets are available for Cherrydale Cinemas.   Free Equal Opportunity Decals and Equal Opportunity Posters are also available. 

Technology GGAR provides in-house support staff to answer technology questions for members.  Members can access the GGAR website:  www.ggar.com, which provides members with information on a wide variety of topics. 

Community Involvement GGAR feels very strongly about “giving back” to the community.  GGAR works in conjunction with the Greenville County public school system to provide Christmas gifts to needy children through the “Care and Share” program.  GGAR also provides “Greater Greenville Association of REALTORSŪ Scholarships” to Greenville area high school seniors.  Funds for the scholarship are raised through the annual “Lobs, Links, and Lanes” event, which is now in its tenth year.  “Revitalization Awards” are also presented annually to members of the community who have “revitalized” a property in an area that acted as a catalyst to improve a particular community. GGAR also sponsors the annual Affordable Housing “American Dream Fair.”

REALTORŪ Trademark Those individuals who hold REALTORŪ membership are licensed to use one or more of the MARKS in connection with their real estate business.

Professional Standards GGAR offers Professional Standards training to educate members on the Code of Ethics, a strict code enforced by the National Association of REALTORSŪ.

Ethics, Arbitration, and Mediation Ethics hearings and arbitration disputes can be held before the Professional Standards hearing panel.  Mediation options are also available.

Networking Opportunities GGAR holds quarterly Brokers Update meetings, bi-monthly member luncheons, bi-monthly REALTORŪ networking socials, Holiday Gala, Annual Lobs, Links, & Lanes event, and the Annual RPAC Oyster Roast.  For Commercial Members or Commercial Sponsors, GGAR offers:  bi-monthly commercial property share meetings, an annual Commercial Division golf tournament, and an annual Christmas   Social.

Political Advocacy GGAR actively participates in legislative advocacy. GGAR has on staff a full time Governmental Affairs Director to keep members informed on local issues and to represent members at local meetings.   Through RPAC, members have a stronger voice on legislature that affect the real estate industry at the local, state and national levels.  The GGAR RPAC and Legislative committees are instrumental in this process.  Members have an opportunity to contribute to RPAC and meet with legislators at RPAC sponsored functions such as Legislative Breakfasts, Receptions, and the annual GGAR Oyster Roast.

Courthouse Retrieval System - CRS Web based application that provides property data for 11 Upstate Counties. PowerTools are made of tailored searches, property tax records, interactive maps, sales and mortgage info, real estate valuations, and mailing lists.
